An 11-year-old girl was struck by a double decker bus in Liverpool city centre<\/a> this afternoon. Emergency services were called to Queen Square at around 5pm today, Wednesday, October 8, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus.<\/a><\/p>\n The young girl suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics<\/a>. The incident caused some disruption in the area, with pedestrians and traffic briefly diverted while the scene was made safe. The road remains open but police officers remain on site to carry out enquiries.<\/p>\n Photographs taken at the scene show a double decker Arriva bus<\/a> with a shattered windscreen parked next to a police car.
