Leeds United<\/a> fans have been clamouring for Harry Gray<\/a> to be involved in the Premier League very soon, and a new contract ought to be sorted as soon as possible for the teenage forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n

United\u2019s current main weakness in the Premier League is consistently taking chances. One left-field suggestion that frequently crops up is throwing teenager Harry Gray into the mix.<\/p>\n

It seems a foregone conclusion that Leeds will tie down Gray to a new contract as soon as they can. The player himself is sure to be incredibly eager to get a deal agreed too, given his family affiliations.<\/p>\n

However, there\u2019s always the lingering fear that a big club could put forward an enticing offer. Speculation of Spurs\u2019 long-running interest persists in the background. <\/p>\n

The North London club notably signed Gray\u2019s older brother Archie for \u00a340million<\/a> and reportedly hold interest in the younger brother<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, Leeds\u2019 hopes of getting a first professional contract thrashed out have been given a nudge in the right direction, with Gray now eligible to sign such a deal.<\/p>\n

Turning 17 today, Gray can now put pen to paper on professional terms and shut the door on any clubs trying to lure him away. <\/p>\n

His agemates Finlay Gorman (Manchester City) and Oliver Boast (Spurs) both left before the age of 17. Leeds powerless to stop it outside of negotiating compensation, both bringing in sizeable sums.<\/p>\n

There probably isn\u2019t huge pressure on the club to get Gray tied down. Everyone at the club (including him) wants it to happen.<\/p>\n

That being said, getting it done sooner rather than later would represent decisive business from the club and a statement of intent.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not likely that we\u2019re going to see him play often, if at all this season in the Premier League. Although, tying down such a talent would be huge in the long term.<\/p>\n
