Ethan Hawke<\/strong>\u2018s return as The Grabber is the focus of the new Black Phone 2<\/strong> featurette below.<\/p>\n \u201cThe scares are so much more extreme this time around,\u201d promises co-star Madeleine McGraw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The horror sequel\u00a0opens in theaters on\u00a0October 17<\/strong> from Blumhouse and Universal.<\/p>\n As Finn, now 17, struggles with life after his captivity, his headstrong 15-year-old sister, Gwen, begins receiving calls in her dreams from the black phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp known as Alpine Lake.<\/p>\n Determined to solve the mystery and end the torment for both her and her brother, Gwen persuades Finn to visit the camp during a winter storm. There, she uncovers a shattering intersection between The Grabber and her own family\u2019s history.<\/p>\n Together, she and Finn must confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death and more significant to them than either could imagine.<\/p>\n In addition to Hawke and McGraw, Mason Thames,<\/strong>\u00a0Miguel Mora,<\/strong> and Jeremy Davies<\/strong> reprise their roles from the 2021 film.<\/p>\n Demi\u00e1n Bichir<\/strong>\u00a0(The Nun), Arianna Rivas<\/strong> (A Working Man), Maev Beaty<\/strong> (Beau is Afraid), and Graham Abbey<\/strong> (\u201cUnder the Banner of Heaven\u201d) join the sequel.<\/p>\n Scott Derrickson<\/strong> is back in the director\u2019s chair with a script he co-wrote with frequent collaborator C.
