\n The nominees, recognised in the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards, are being celebrated for their contributions to the industry and their communities.\n<\/p>\n
\n East Coast Restaurant in Musselburgh leads the pack with nominations in three categories: Best Fish Supper in the East, Best Dine-In Fish & Chips, and Best Chip Shop in the East.\n<\/p>\n
\n North Berwick Fry is also up for Best Fish Supper in the East and Best Chip Shop in the East, while Dino’s in Haddington has secured nominations for Best Chip Shop in the East and Best Pizza.\n<\/p>\n
\n Good Catch in Musselburgh is also competing for Best Pizza, and Jaz’s Fish Bar in Musselburgh has earned nominations for Best Team and Best Chip Shop in the East.\n<\/p>\n
\n Warren Paul, fish and chip guru and awards director at Paramount Creative, said: “It\u2019s thrilling to reveal the hot contenders for the biggest awards in the business for the hard-working fryers, fishers and farmers of Scotland whose efforts produce this sensational cuisine.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Fish and chips and the chip shop culture is ingrained deep within the Scots lifestyle.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We are proud of the phenomenal food coming out of Scottish chip shops every single day and night, that\u2019s why these awards exist \u2013 to showcase the best of the best.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Judges will be visiting venues across Scotland, including the East Lothian finalists, to determine the winners.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Paul said: “Every business or person listed as a finalist has already been recognised as one of the absolute best in our country \u2013 it\u2019s a big achievement in itself given the sheer number of entrants and the high quality overall.\n<\/p>\n
\n “So congratulations to all of our finalists \u2013 now the really tough part begins as our judges hit the road.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Thanks to all who entered, and sorry if you didn\u2019t quite make the cut \u2013 but please keep on pushing and doing great work.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We appreciate everyone who is producing quality food for their local community, thank you all.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The winners will be announced at the awards gala final on Monday, November 10, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow.\n<\/p>\n
