Hollyoaks’ Clare Devine continued her latest revenge scheme<\/a> in the latest episode \u2014 and it led to a very surprising hook-up. This week has seen has Clare try to get her claws into Peri Lomax, praising her fashion style and suggesting that they work together on getting Peri a career in wedding planning.<\/p>\n

In The Loft, Clare continued to ply Peri with booze and told her she’ll make a great wedding planner, despite making a really obvious mistake on a banner she made for Tony and Diane Hutchinson. Tom Cunningham walked in and saw them chatting. And he was furious.<\/p>\n

“I thought that you were smarter than this, Peri. She’s playing you,” Tom raged, having remembered all the evil things Clare had done back in the day (including trying to kill him). <\/p>\n

“If you and I are ever gonna be more than friends, then you can not be hanging around with her.”<\/p>\n

All that did was make Peri annoyed, and Clare told him to leave.<\/p>\n

Back at Peri’s, the two shared more wine on the sofa and Clare labelled Tom a “control freak”, playing on Peri’s fragility from being with the coercive Abe Fielding.<\/p>\n

Peri asked Clare if the meanness and coldness was an all just an act, as she thinks Clare does have a heart beneath the person she presents to the world. Sensing her opportunity, Clare moved in closer and spoke about Tom not being Peri’s “type”. When Peri asked Clare what she was into, she replied, “I’m into all.”<\/p>\n

After asking Peri if she liked “a bad girl”, the two moved closer together and the show cut to an ad break.<\/p>\n

Although it wasn’t shown, the soap revealed that the two did sleep together in a brutal fashion.<\/p>\n

Tom knocked on Peri’s door and apologised for how he acted earlier… only for Clare to open up, wearing nothing but a duvet. “Six out of 10 for the monologue. Bit Love Island<\/a> for my taste, but then I’m hard to please. Peri’s a bit busy at the minute. We both are,” Clare said.<\/p>\n

Given that Clare faked cancer a few months ago<\/a>, it likely that she’s just getting in Peri’s good books (and bed) as part of her current set of evil plans. But there may be more to it than just tormenting Tom, as the episode ended with her tracking down serial killer Jez Blake in his hideout in the woods.<\/p>\n

“I think we can help each other,” she proposed. When he asked exactly what she had in mind, she mentioned Tony and Diane’s upcoming wedding<\/a> (the one she’s working on with Peri), and that the duo should “throw them a party they’ll never forget”.<\/p>\n

Hollyoaks<\/strong> airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its <\/strong>Channel 4 streaming<\/strong><\/a> premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.<\/strong><\/p>\n
