A Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> star has admitted, “I made a huge mistake”.<\/p>\n The hit BBC<\/a> dancing competition returned to screens on Saturday night (October 4) with the second live show, as hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcomed this year’s celebrities back to the iconic ballroom.<\/p>\n During the show, Lorraine presenter Ross King<\/a> and his professional partner Jowita Przysta\u0142 performed a Waltz to “Sunshine on Leith” by The Proclaimers.<\/p>\n The judges said that the entertainment reporter was the “most improved”, as well as acknowledging that he needed to work on his musicality. Ross and Jowita were subsequently awarded 15 points for the routine.<\/p>\n Ahead of this weekend’s Movie special, Ross appeared on Good Morning Britain on Thursday (October 9), where he spoke to Kate Garraway, Ed Balls and Melvin Odoom about a “mistake” he made.<\/p>\n “It’s weird, it’s strange, it’s hard going, it’s fun. You’ve all done it! I’m loving it, but I made a huge mistake,” Ross admitted.<\/p>\n The star explained that he had received advice from several past Strictly contestants, including Kate and Christine Lampard.<\/p>\n “Everyone said get the tan. The first week, get the spray tan because it’s a big thing. I got it and I looked like a garden fence. Big mistake. Schoolboy error. So, never ever have I fake tanned over a real tan,” he continued.<\/p>\n Kate added: “You were probably tanned already though because of LA! So, it’s a double whammy.”<\/p>\n Ed then said: “It’s because you chose the wrong shade. Don’t go for Marbella in August, go for Skegness in April and you’ll be fine!”<\/p>\n Ross then shared: “I am the poster older man for people who can’t dance, have never danced but just want to get involved. I want to encourage people of a certain age and prove that 60 is the new 40. I want to encourage people to dance.”<\/p>\n This weekend, Ross and Jowita will be performing a Paso Doble to the Thunderbirds theme tune. It comes after the presenter became emotional during the second live show.<\/p>\n To prepare for his routine, the pair took a trip to Loch Lomond in Scotland, where Ross emotionally looked back on his childhood memories.<\/p>\n “I’m a very proud Scots person. I had to move away for work, but I could always see myself coming back.
