{"id":485672,"date":"2025-10-09T12:52:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T12:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/485672\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T12:52:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T12:52:12","slug":"edinburghs-bar-prince-unveils-connected-icons-menu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/485672\/","title":{"rendered":"Edinburgh\u2019s Bar Prince unveils Connected Icons menu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"standfirst u-standfirst\">Bar Prince at The Balmoral in Edinburgh, Scotland, has launched its Connected Icons menu, which guides guests through the hotel\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"410\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Bar-Prince-Balmoral-Hotel.jpg\" data- class=\"size-full wp-image-896701 lazyload\"\/>The connected Icons menu<\/p>\n<p>Connected Icons is the new story-driven cocktail menu from Bar Prince, which is described as being \u2018as rich in character as The Balmoral itself\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in September, the \u2018landmark\u2019 menu celebrates the people, places, and timeless traditions that have shaped the hotel\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n<p>Crafted by\u00a0head bartender Mattia Rovaris\u00a0and\u00a0assistant bar manager Stefano Pinna,\u00a0Connected Icons\u00a0aims to offer an immersive experience, as each cocktail invites guests on a sensory journey through The Balmoral\u2019s past.<\/p>\n<p>Rovaris said: \u201cWe have created a collection of cocktails that takes you on a journey, where every sip takes you on an adventure and tells a story from the hotel\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The menu has been split into three sections: The Balmoral &amp; Guests, Hotel Features, and Land, Loch &amp; Sky.<\/p>\n<p>Cocktails in The Balmoral &amp; Guests section pay homage to the hotel\u2019s \u2018extraordinary\u2019 guest list, which has included celebrated writers, Hollywood stars, and distinguished visitors, all of whom are said to have left their mark on the hotel\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Bar-Prince-Balmoral-Hotel-Connected-Icons-menu-350x350.jpg\" data- class=\"wp-image-896707 size-thumbnail lazyload\"\/>New menu highlights include the Always on Time (right) which features X Muse Vodka and Highland Park 18<\/p>\n<p>A highlight from this section of the menu is The Proud Scotsman, inspired by Sir Sean Connery, who famously reopened The Balmoral in 1991. This tribute to the James Bond actor blends Aberfeldy 16, Sweetdram Amaro, Drambuie, walnut bitters, and a touch of lemon oil.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Hotel Features section takes guests beyond the grand entrance, allowing them to discover the charming quirks, hidden corners, and enduring traditions that make The Balmoral truly iconic.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the \u2018heart and soul\u2019 of the hotel itself, one key highlight is Always on Time \u2013 a serve that pays homage to The Balmoral clocktower, which is famously set three minutes fast \u2013 a tradition that ensures passengers are never late for their train from Waverley Station, which is adjacent to the hotel. \u00a0Only once does it break tradition, on Hogmanay, when Edinburgh joins the world in unison to count down the New Year. This cocktail unites <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thespiritsbusiness.com\/2024\/12\/x-muse-reawakens-vodka-innovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the un-aged X Muse Vodka<\/a> with Highland Park 18 in a bid to \u2018capture a moment where time stands still\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Finally in the Land, Loch &amp; Sky section, the natural beauty of Scotland has served as the inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>This section reflects destinations highlighted in journeys curated by The Balmoral\u2019s concierge team \u2013 from wild coastlines to serene lochs and majestic highlands.<\/p>\n<p>Each cocktail captures the essence and character of these landscapes, inviting guests to explore flavours that echo the land itself, with The Glamis being an ode to Glamis Castle in Angus and the \u2018luxurious\u2019 Glamis Suite within The Balmoral.<\/p>\n<p>This cocktail pairs a locally-loved whisky with a warming chilli kick, mellowed by a touch of sweetness and grounded with earthy artichoke cordial.<\/p>\n<p>Guests are invited to make a reservation at Bar Prince to experience the menu.
