A pub in Liverpool city centre has been temporarily renamed today. Cross Keys<\/a> on Earle Street is a popular venue for many of Liverpool\u2019s office workers<\/a> due to its location near to many businesses on St Paul\u2019s Square, Old Hall Street and Tithebarn Street.<\/p>\n This isn’t the first time the Cross Keys has been renamed. The city centre pub was previously renamed as The Golden Eagle<\/a> during filming for Paramount+ series Sexy Beast in 2022.<\/p>\n In an announcement this week, Heineken said the pub will be renamed <\/a>on Thursday, October 9 to \u2018The Office\u2019. Other pubs in London, Manchester and Glasgow have also been given this new name.<\/p>\n Heineken has cheekily renamed pubs across the UK to \u2018The Office\u2019 to celebrate what it claims is one of the best parts of the working day – after-work socialising.<\/p>\n The beer company believes the importance of catching up with colleagues over a drink has been “overlooked” in recent years.<\/p>\n More than 1,000 pubs in England are also taking part in the offer of a free pint of Heineken or Heineken 0.0 to share with colleagues. The voucher can be shared with up to three friends (one pint per person), Monday to Friday throughout October from 4:59pm.<\/p>\n Nabil Nasser, Global Head of Heineken, said: “The return-to-office chat continues to stir up debate.
