He founded UDI, a small centrist party, and is seen as much more independent from Macron than other centrists. <\/p>\n<p>Borloo is someone who can \u201cspeak to the left\u201d and won\u2019t be seen as \u201cso openly as a Macron lieutenant,\u201d said a parliamentary adviser from Macron\u2019s Renaissance party.<\/p>\n<p>As someone who has distanced himself from daily politics, he is not a threat to France\u2019s (many) presidential hopefuls.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Here are some profiles that are on the docket.
