{"id":485787,"date":"2025-10-09T13:52:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T13:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/485787\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T13:52:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T13:52:11","slug":"asbo-swan-finds-wife-to-be-in-new-devon-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/485787\/","title":{"rendered":"ASBO swan finds &#8216;wife-to-be&#8217; in new Devon home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A black swan which was removed from a historic town after spending nine months terrorising other birds and tourists has already found his &#8220;wife-to-be&#8221; at a new home. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Reggie, nicknamed The Terminator in Stratford, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c5ygxmy5jmdo\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moved from Stratford-upon-Avon to Dawlish, Devon. <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Donald Phillips, from the Dawlish Waterfowl Centre, said Reggie had &#8220;settled in very well&#8221; and had already found a mate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He explained: &#8220;I&#8217;d put him into the enclosure with two females and he just walked up to them and they sort of followed him around and there was no aggression at all &#8230; he was just as good as gold.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mr Phillips said he believed Reggie had been behaving badly in Stratford because he was &#8220;very frustrated&#8221; and the attention he was getting was just &#8220;making him more that way inclined &#8230; a bit aggressive&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I had two females ready for him when he came down &#8230; I selected one of the females and I moved him on to a farm where they&#8217;ve got a big lake and ducks and he settled in very well.
