{"id":485812,"date":"2025-10-09T14:05:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T14:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/485812\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T14:05:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T14:05:11","slug":"nearly-a-fifth-of-employees-admit-to-polygamous-working-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/485812\/","title":{"rendered":"Nearly a fifth of employees admit to \u2018polygamous working\u2019 \u2013 poll"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Nearly a fifth (19%) of employees say they have secretly juggled two competing jobs \u2013 known as polygamous working \u2013 and nearly a quarter (24%) believe it is \u201cjustifiable\u201d, according to a survey for a fraud prevention service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The research published by Cifas involved research among 2,000 employees across different sectors, including HR, engineering, finance and IT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Almost a fifth (19%) of people said they or someone they know had covered employment gaps with bogus references, according to the survey carried out by Opinion Matters in July.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Those who were surveyed were working in companies employing at least 1,000 people with UK operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Mike Haley, CEO of Cifas, said: \u201cOur Workplace Fraud Trends research doesn\u2019t solely reflect individual choices.
