Princess M\u00e4rtha Louise of Norway and Durek Verrett have responded to allegations they are in a “lavender marriage<\/a>“. The term is typically used to describe a heterosexual marital arrangement in which one or both parties conceal their true sexuality.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram<\/a> after seeing the rumours surrounding their one-year marriage<\/a>, King Harald’s daughter and the self-styled shaman appeared to debunk the idea with a video response.<\/p>\n

The clip began with the couple standing together as audio rolled of a voice asking, “What’s a lavender marriage?” and they looked at one another in disbelief.<\/p>\n

The 54-year-old then put her hand over the camera, and to the tune of twinkle music, the pair both appeared in lavender-coloured outfits.<\/p>\n

The couple then added screenshots of some of the comments regarding their relationship, including one that read, “Girl, I don’t know if you know but you are in a lavender marriage”. A second comment read: “This is the greatest lavender marriage of all time.”<\/p>\n

She then pulled at his shirt, whilst he nodded ‘no’ in reponse to the much-asked question.<\/p>\n

A text bubble placed on screen then read, “Hmm we do like lavender but doesn’t seem right…”, while Durek said, “Nah!”<\/p>\n

The caption on their video read: “Thought it was lavender? Plot twist. It\u2019s just love and legacy”, followed by a curius face emoji and a purple heart emoji.<\/p>\n

Durek previously revealed that he is bisexual and M\u00e4rtha Louise said she initially introduced him to her daughters as a friend, who they thought was gay.<\/p>\n
