The Streets will take their landmark album ‘A Grand Don\u2019t Come For Free’ on the road for the first time in full, it has been revealed. Mike Skinner and his band will perform the album front-to-back across an exclusive run of shows in the UK next year.<\/p>\n

The tour begins in February 2026 with dates across major UK headline shows throughout the summer. They’ll play Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl on Saturday, July 11.<\/p>\n

Fans can now sign up for artist presale for their tour. The artist presale begins on Tuesday, 14 October at 10am, followed by general sale from Friday 17th October at 10am via Ticketmaster here<\/a> and GigsandTours here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Originally released in 2004, ‘A Grand Don\u2019t Come For Free remains’ one of the most important and influential British albums of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Entering the UK charts at number one, the record went multi-platinum and delivered era-defining singles including Dry Your Eyes, Fit But You Know It, and Blinded By The Lights.<\/p>\n

It cemented Skinner as one of the UK\u2019s most original voices, capturing the humour, heartbreak and raw emotion of everyday life with rare poetic clarity.<\/p>\n

This tour marks the first time The Streets will perform the album in its entirety, giving fans a chance to experience the full story exactly as it was intended.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Grand Don\u2019t Come For Free was a moment in time – for me, and for everyone who grew up with it,” said Mike Skinner.<\/p>\n

“I wrote it as a story from beginning to end, even studying screenwriting to shape it and without the faintest idea how people would react.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve been looking for something bold to do with the live show, and we landed here: some tracks have never been played live, others haven\u2019t surfaced in years.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s a new challenge to bring the whole journey to life on stage, but I have an incredible band and we always give everything every night.<\/p>\n

“So I\u2019m certain we\u2019ll make finding out what happened to that thousand quid a party every night.<\/p>\n

The Streets broke through in 2002 with the Mercury Prize nominated ‘Original Pirate Material’ – regarded as one of the most influential British albums of recent times.<\/p>\n

Four BRIT Award nominations for Best Album, Best Urban Act, Best Breakthrough Artist and Best British Male Solo Artist followed.<\/p>\n

\u201cDry Your Eyes\u201d, from 2005 follow-up album ‘A Grand Don\u2019t Come For Free’, won an Ivor Novello for Best Song Musically And Lyrically. Skinner also received a BRIT Award that same year, for best British Male Solo Artist.<\/p>\n
