After The White Lotus<\/a> alum shared his borderline personality disorder diagnosis in his forthcoming memoir I Wrote This For Attention, he expanded on why he wanted to come forward with such a vulnerable admission.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cFor so long, I didn\u2019t have the words for it, my whole teenage years of thinking it’s depression, anxiety, bipolar, whatever,\u201d Lukas explained in an interview with Them<\/a> published Oct. 9. \u201cI want there to be a conversation that\u2019s not stigmatized and it doesn\u2019t feel like this dirty little secret that you have to have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, the 30-year-old\u2014whose whirlwind marriage to celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton <\/strong>ended in 2024\u2014felt inspired by others who had shared the same struggle, including Trisha Paytas<\/strong>, Madison Beer<\/strong> and Julia Fox<\/strong>, adding that it gave him a sense of \u201cclarity.\u201d<\/p>\n
