{"id":486244,"date":"2025-10-09T17:52:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T17:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/486244\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T17:52:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T17:52:10","slug":"19-migrants-deported-to-france-as-part-of-one-in-one-out-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/486244\/","title":{"rendered":"19 migrants deported to France as part of \u2018one in one out\u2019 deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Nineteen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/migrants\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:migrants;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">migrants<\/a> have been deported to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/france\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:France;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">France<\/a> as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/government\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Government;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Government<\/a>\u2019s \u2018one in, one out\u2019 returns deal with France.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The migrants were sent to France on two flights, including one which took place on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It follows seven <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/deportations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:deportations;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">deportations<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said flights across the Channel were \u201cunder way and ramping up\u201d, sending migrants trying to cross into the UK by small boat a message that \u201cif you come here illegally, you face being detained and removed, so think twice before making that journey\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ms Mahmood said: \u201cWe must put an end to these dangerous crossings which put lives at risk and money in the pockets of criminal gangs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe contrast couldn\u2019t be clearer.
