AI Bros gleefully circulated these short clips online whilst trying to maintain that they&#8217;d <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/software\/ai\/dev-insists-a-glossed-up-version-of-daggerfalls-aesthetic-was-invented-by-ai-which-is-a-bit-like-saying-i-can-invent-a-new-plane-by-drawing-a-picture-of-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;created a new genre&#8221;<\/a> in gaming \u2013 clearly they weren&#8217;t around in the &#8217;90s, when most first-person role-playing games looked very similar.<\/p>\n<p>Some people even suggested the AI footage would be impossible to replicate in a &#8216;real&#8217; game, but Starhelm Studios&#8217; Dominick John has done just that with <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/3970690\/Project_Shadowglass\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Project Shadowglass<\/strong><\/a>, &#8220;a love letter to classic immersive FPS stealth sims such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeextension.com\/games\/ps4\/thief\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thief<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeextension.com\/games\/pc\/deus_ex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deus Ex<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeextension.com\/games\/pc\/system_shock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">System Shock<\/a>, built with unique 3D pixel art technology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Built using the Godot engine, Project Shadowglass places you in the role of &#8220;a struggling thief, mysteriously tasked by an anonymous source to &#8216;acquire&#8217; ancient artifacts hidden across the realm.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> Images: <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/dominickjohn\">Dominick John \/ Starhelm Studios<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s some more info, taken from the game&#8217;s Steam page:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;By day, you will plan and prepare from your humble flat in the slums.
