Robbie Williams has announced an intimate gig in Liverpool as part of a special run of shows to celebrate the release of his new album, BRITPOP. The 51-year-old’s 13th studio album will be released on February 6 next year.<\/a><\/p>\n

The iconic singer will perform at the Liverpool Olympia on the day the album is released in 2026, which has been billed as a “once in a lifetime event” for fans. The show at the venue, on West Derby<\/a> Road, is part of the Long 90’s Tour, which will see Robbie take to the stage at a number of intimate gigs around the UK.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition to the Liverpool show<\/a>, the Angels hitmaker will play at the Barrowlands Ballroom in Glasgow on February 4, the O2 Academy Brixton on February 8 and the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton on February 9. The Long 90’s tour will see Robbie play his debut album, Life Thru A Lens, and his upcoming album, BRITPOP, in full.<\/a><\/p>\n

The tour announcement comes hours after the singer closed out his 2025 tour with the smallest show of his career at famous music venue Dingwalls in Camden. The shows represent a huge change for fans to see Robbie in smaller venues as the singer has been selling out stadiums all over the world since he first became a solo artist in 1995.<\/p>\n

The new album harkens back to this period of his life as the cover features an image in the red tracksuit he wore at the 1995 edition of the Glastonbury Festival<\/a> after he had just exited Take That.<\/p>\n

Robbie reteams with Take That star Gary Barlow<\/a> for a song on the upcoming album. Gary is one of a number of star studded musicians to feature on BRITPOP as Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Supergrass\u2019 Gaz Coombes, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi have all contributed to songs on the upcoming release.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the album was first announced in July, Robbie said BRITPOP is what he wanted to release when he first went solo 30 years ago. He said: “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British music. I\u2019ve worked with some of my heroes on this album, it\u2019s raw, there are more guitars and it\u2019s an album that\u2019s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some \u2018Brit\u2019 in there and there\u2019s certainly some \u2018pop\u2019 too \u2013 I\u2019m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I\u2019m excited for fans to hear this album.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eleven songs feature on the album, including new single Pretty Face, which has been released today.<\/p>\n

The single follows previously released songs from the album, including Rocket, Spies and Human.<\/p>\n

Robbie is chasing an incredible record held by The Beatles with his upcoming album. If BRITPOP tops the charts, it will be Robbie’s 16th number one, which will take him above the Fab Four’s long-standing record.<\/p>\n
