Birmingham City have been linked with a move for Aston Villa’s<\/a> Emi Buendia<\/a> – and one pundit has not ruled Blues out of a bid for the playmaker.<\/p>\n With Blues<\/a> struggling for goals in the Championship, Buendia has become a name that is being rumoured to be of interest having previously shown interest in the playmaker.<\/p>\n Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie believes Blues could reignite their bid<\/a> to land the former Norwich City man.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not sure what\u2019s going to happen with Emi,\u201d Hendrie told Football League World.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has been used an awful lot, and he says that he wants to fight and stay at Villa.<\/p>\n \u201cI can understand why, because of the situation they\u2019re in, what competitions they\u2019re in, and he\u2019s built his fitness and he\u2019s playing and starting games.<\/p>\n \u201cI know Birmingham<\/a> have been interested in him and have been looking for a number 10, creative, a bit of flair.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure they\u2019ll be looking at maybe reigniting that little bit of interest for Buendia.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it doesn\u2019t work out for him from now until January, I think lots could change.\u201d<\/p>\n Buendia has scored in his last two games, wins over Feyenoord and Fulham in the Premier League, which suggests he is not going to be out of Unai Emery’s thoughts anytime soon.<\/p>\n He is back in the fray at B6 after making eight appearances this season following a loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen last term.<\/p>\n Nonetheless, the claims have sparked plenty of debate regarding a cross-city move to St Andrew’s and here’s what Villa fans had to say on BirminghamLive.<\/p>\n CrazyCat1:<\/strong> “I don’t think we will be looking to sell him. I know he would not want to play in the Championship. And the Blues could NOT afford to buy him.”<\/p>\n GratefulDead:<\/strong> “Even if Buendia did leave it won’t be to Blues that is for sure, but I very much doubt he will leave January anyway.”<\/p>\n Zackman:<\/strong> “Nah keep dreaming. He’s playing better and better so jog on Bluenoses.”<\/p>\n KevUTV:<\/strong> “They would need to win the Euromillions, after eight rollovers, to have any chance. Villa will just price him out of the market, if they even listened to an offer. This is just not going to happen this season or next.
