A beloved London doughnut caf\u00e9<\/a> has made the ‘obvious choice’ – Manchester – for its first store outside of the south.<\/p>\n Rodeo Doughnuts, founded in 2017 by Tom Anderson, now has 13 stores across London and the south. Hailed as the ‘delicious doughnut destination’, the bakery has become known for its quirky flavours including the Ice Ice Bae Bae, featuring cookie dough, and the Miss American Pie featuring an apple pie filling.<\/p>\n It also has a number of doughnuts named after celebrities, including the Bruno Mars, comprising a chocolate hazelnut buttercream and a Kinder Bueno, and the Almond Schwarzenegger, featuring both an almond glaze and flakes. There\u2019s also the Chris Hemsworthy, a gluten-free red velvet cake flavour, and the David Hasselhoff made up of Lotus Biscoff goodness.<\/p>\n Stay connected with our City Life newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The London-based bakery will open its doors in the Northern Quarter<\/a>, with a spot within Stevenson Square. It will become neighbours to the popular Get Baked<\/a>, and will also be situated near to the likes of Companio Bakery, Siop Shop, Baby Mayhem, and Morning Glory.<\/p>\n But owner Tom says he is hoping to be inspired by his new fellow bakers in Manchester, and believes the love for what Rodeo already offers will help them stand strong amongst the big names. In fact, he said the expansion means he can be positioned amongst the very best in the country.<\/p>\n \u201cI consider the bakery scene in Manchester to be the best in the UK,\u201d Tom explains. \u201cThe city offers so much, and for a long time, it\u2019s been a place I\u2019ve wanted to open a store.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd after eight years of plying our trade in London, it was time to expand north. The store we have secured is in a great location in Stevenson Square, the heart of the Northern Quarter, and we can\u2019t wait to bring our well-loved doughnuts closer to more fans. Lots of our current customers asked if we\u2019d open a store in the north, so here we are!\u201d<\/p>\n Year round, Rodeo will sell its six core flavours, which will also be joined by a range of specials and seasonal creations. They also serve a range of gluten-free and vegan doughnuts too.<\/p>\n In addition to its doughnuts, Rodeo will also offer up a selection of cookies, with customers able to order takeout hot and cold drinks too. And Tom teases that more is already in the pipeline for the near future.<\/p>\n \u201cOur mission is to share our doughnuts with as many people as possible,\u201d he explains. \u201cWhether people grab a doughnut for a quick sweet treat, take a box into work, take them round to friends\u2019 houses or order doughnuts for delivery.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re dedicated to bringing people together over doughnuts. We have a lot of plans for this Manchester store and initiatives we want to do alongside the people of Manchester \u2013 we can\u2019t wait to embed our doughnuts in the community here.\u201d<\/p>\n Whilst an official opening date has not yet been announced, the Northern Quarter store is currently set to open later this month and the hunt for team members is already on with applications underway.
