{"id":487888,"date":"2025-10-10T08:42:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T08:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/487888\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T08:42:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T08:42:15","slug":"destiny-scotland-submits-planning-for-apartments-in-edinburgh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/487888\/","title":{"rendered":"Destiny Scotland submits planning for apartments in Edinburgh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\tReading Time:  2 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>UK: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destinyscotland.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luxury serviced apartment developer and operator<\/a> Destiny Scotland has submitted an application to transform townhouses on Princes Street into 24 apartments and an office.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conservation specialists Studio LBA has been appointed as the lead consultant and architect for the project.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The B-Listed buildings, located within Edinburgh\u2019s UNESCO World Heritage Site, are currently in a semi-derelict state internally having laid vacant for several decades.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The properties previously received full planning permission and listed building consent for conversion into 30 serviced apartments. The newly submitted proposals, which have similar layouts, will supersede the previous consent and modify the proposals to the roof level, as well as retaining the first-floor commercial space as an office for Destiny Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Modern features include thermal upgrades and new windows to combat current heat loss.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Moffat, managing director at Destiny Scotland Group, said: \u201cWe pride ourselves on offering a home-from-home at each of our apartment locations and it\u2019s exciting to bolster our portfolio with this new addition on Princes Street. Studio LBA have the exact expertise to lead this sympathetic conservation project, enhancing and modernising the building into luxury serviced apartments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Cameron, conservation architect and associate at Studio LBA, said: \u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to add another project with Destiny Scotland to our portfolio.
