Trains travelling along the Argyle Line were impacted after the vehicle collided with the bridge this morning.<\/p>\n

Train services to Glasgow <\/a>Central low-level were suspended this morning after a van smashed into a railway bridge.<\/p>\n

Services travelling along the Argyle Line<\/a> were impacted after the vehicle collided with the bridge near Dalmarnock in the city’s east end.<\/p>\n

The crash<\/a>, which is understood to have taken place during the early-hours of Friday, left the bridge crumbling with debris spilt onto the tracks.<\/p>\n

Engineers have since removed the stonework to ensure the signalling <\/a>system can operate at full function. The line has since been reinstated.<\/p>\n

Images from the scene <\/a>show the bonnet of the van crumpled as a result of the smash.<\/p>\n

Bricks from the bridge were pictured scattered across the railway on Friday morning. It’s currently unknown if there were any injuries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Network Rail has confirmed that the bridge <\/a>is now safe, however, rail services may still face delays.<\/p>\n
