The former <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/show\/love-island\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Love Island<\/a><\/strong> star was recognized for her work tackling online abuse and supporting victims of cybercrime. Her advocacy began after she was targeted by a revenge porn incident involving an ex-partner. She was given the award by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/Prince-William\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Prince William<\/strong><\/a> at a ceremony earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Harrison received an OBE for cybercrime awareness<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"683\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GettyImages-1470930292.jpg\" alt=\"Love Island honor Prince William\" class=\"wp-image-974928\"  \/>Photo Credit: Eamonn M. McCormack\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Georgia, who appeared on the third season of Love Island UK, was given the honor at Windsor Castle. She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). She was included in the King\u2019s 2025 Birthday Honours List earlier this year for her promotion of \u201conline privacy and cyber crime awareness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Georgia was inspired to start her advocacy work after her ex-boyfriend, TV personality <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/Stephen-Bear\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stephen Bear<\/a>, was found guilty in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2024\/07\/17\/everything-to-know-rachel-leviss-revenge-porn-case-pump-rules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revenge porn case<\/a> against her. The court heard he had uploaded a video of the pair having sex to OnlyFans without Georgia\u2019s consent. He was sentenced to 21 months in 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2024\/01\/17\/convicted-sex-offender-the-challenge-star-stephen-bear-released-early-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">but was released early<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/pa.media\/blogs\/pa-editors-picks\/georgia-harrison-says-mbe-will-drive-her-to-continue-to-evoke-change-for-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reporters<\/a> after the ceremony, Georgia said: \u201cI feel exhilarated. I just didn\u2019t realize how magical the moment was going to be. First of all, I was so happy when I found out it was Prince William. I really was hoping that he might be one of the people who was giving it and, you know, I had really found when I was receiving the award, that he took such a genuine interest in everything that I\u2019d done, been following my story, and that really meant a lot to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c4gk1k4w59wo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BBC<\/a>: \u201cIt was such an amazing opportunity, and I\u2019m really grateful, and I\u2019m 100% going to continue to step up in my campaigning.
