In May, he spoke to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c8074n5z597o\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BBC<\/a> about he is eagerness to mend the rift with his father. \u201cI would love reconciliation with my family. There\u2019s no point continuing to fight any more, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheknows.com\/entertainment\/articles\/1234903491\/prince-harry-king-charles-reaction-royal-peace-talks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">life is precious<\/a>,\u201d the Duke of Sussex explained while noting that he did \u201cnot know how much longer [his] father has.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThat should have been the first clue that Charles wasn\u2019t doing as well as his family and doctors had hoped. It\u2019s also why Harry and Charles seem to be fast-tracking the reunion process. Their September meeting was described by <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/prince-harry-massive-step-king-charles-reunion-without-queen-camilla-exclusive-11809836\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">People<\/a> insiders as a positive interaction. \u201cIt shows the way forward,\u201d a source said. \u201cIt is a good starting point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOther royal experts, including Tina Brown, know that Charles is looking heavily at his legacy, and keeping the family feud going \u201cis a bad look.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cCharles knows that in these times of ugly political discord, a fractured royal family is a bad look,\u201d Brown wrote in a September <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/09\/17\/opinion\/king-charles-trump-britain-visit.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York Times<\/a> op-ed. \u201cBut it was also the fulfillment of paternal longing. It\u2019s no secret that Charles desperately misses his prodigal son who, in earlier days, was always the fun, ebullient scamp compared with the haughtier, more Hanoverian William.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThat\u2019s why Sykes is reminding people that it\u2019s important to talk about King Charles\u2019 health right now \u2014\u00a0his life or possible death are \u201ca legitimate matter of public interest.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHe added, \u201cCharles has told us he has cancer, and his aides have admitted it is incurable, it is frankly an insult to intelligence to try and suppress reporting of it.
