<\/p>\nA new documentary film about Beatles fans will be released this Autumn, with a special screening planned for Liverpool on 15th November at Liverpool Beatles Museum. <\/p>\n
It has been made in conjunction with Cavern Club and various key figures and organisations from the Liverpool music scene such as International Beatle Week, Cashbah Coffee Club, The Hard Days Night Hotel and an abundance of local musicians.<\/p>\n
The film, made by Fan Film Ltd and distributed by Liverpool West Productions, traces their journey from The Quarrymen to global icons, showing how their music unites generations and offers profound meaning, and is a heartfelt testament to the universal love for the music that changed the world featuring rare footage, personal stories and memories.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It features interviews with the likes of John Lennon\u2019s sister Julia Baird, Pete Best, Bob Harris OBE (presenter of The Old Grey Whistle Test 1972 \u2013 1978 and presenter on BBC Radio 1 & 2) and Laurence Juber (guitarist with Wings 1978-81) and performances by bands such as The Bootleg Beatles, The Fab Four, The Pete Best Band, Dea Matrona, Blac Rabbit and MonaLisa Twins.\u00a0<\/p>\n

An interesting detail about the film is the film artwork which was commissioned to be hand painted in the style of the original Beatles gig posters that were created by Liverpool signwriter Tony Booth, as commissioned by Brian Epstein in the early 1960s.<\/p>\n
The artist behind the film poster, a signpainter and graphic designer based in Liverpool, Emily Salinas, says:<\/p>\n
\u201cI actually had my own connection to Tony since I met him back in 2016, through being at the same art studio with his son, Lee, and it was meeting him that gave me the impetus to pick up a brush and paint my first poster \u2013 which was actually a tribute poster to Tony done in his distinctive style. So this job for the film has been a little full circle for me as I\u2019m back, 9 years later doing another poster tribute to Tony Booth \u2013 though hopefully a little better this time!\u201d<\/p>\n
The Liverpool\u00a0screening of \u201cA Love Letter To The Beatles\u201d will take place at Liverpool Beatles Museum (Matthew St) on Sat 15th November at 6pm and there will be a Q&A with the director Simon Weitzman afterwards. Tickets are free though have to be reserved on Eventbrite\u00a0<\/p>\n
