“Armed police” have swarmed on a quiet Edinburgh estate this evening amid an ongoing incident.<\/a><\/p>\n

An image of the incident<\/a>, which took place at around 6.20pm on Friday, October 10, showed five police vehicles parked outside flat blocks on Murrayburn Green in Wester Hailes.<\/p>\n

It is understood police dogs were also in attendance.<\/a><\/p>\n

While the exact nature of the incident is currently not known, one concerned passer-by told Edinburgh Live<\/a>: “The armed police and dog units left at 6.40pm.<\/p>\n

“Two units remained there until about [8pm] when they escorted one person out in handcuffs before also leaving the scene.”<\/p>\n

Police Scotland <\/a>were approached for comment by our sister title.<\/p>\n
