Manchester City will be without three key stars as they travel to struggling Liverpool on Sunday afternoon. Lauren Hemp, Rebecca Knaak and Kerolin will all miss the match through injury as Andree Jeglertz\u2019 side look to continue their current winning streak.<\/p>\n
Knaak is yet to feature for the Blues this season after sustaining an injury whilst on international duty for Germany at the European Championships. But the good news is that Knaak is being eased into training and may soon be match fit. \u201cI think she\u2019s on her way back,\u201d said Jeglertz ahead of Sunday\u2019s clash. \u201cBut we don\u2019t push it or force it so we take it almost from week to week or day to day. She\u2019s on her way but we\u2019ll take it easy.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, the news isn\u2019t as good in relation to Hemp and Kerolin, who haven\u2019t featured for the Blues since their 5-1 win at Spurs in September. And the boss also updated fans on Australian international Mary Fowler, whi has been out since April with a ruptured ACL injury. \u201cShe\u2019s working hard every day. She\u2019s on her way and following the plan, but she has a long way to go after that big injury. There\u2019s nothing that says anything has changed in it. She\u2019s working hard every day and is on her way.\u201d<\/p>\n
But City have no other injury concerns ahead of the match against old manager Gareth Taylor\u2019s side. Liverpool are currently just ahead of West Ham at the bottom of the table, having lost all of their opening four matches, scoring one goal and conceding eight.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not the start that Taylor would have wanted, having lost 4-1 at home to Everton, 1-0 at Leicester and 2-0 at home to Manchester United.
