Proper Cannabis today announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Alien Genetics, the legendary breeder behind iconic strains such as Fruity Pebbles, Starfighter, and Alien Rock Candy. The partnership will kick off with 1056 plant pheno hunt across 15 different strains, an ambitious project designed to identify and launch the next generation of world-class genetics.<\/p>\n

A pheno hunt (or \u201cphenotype hunt\u201d) is the process of growing out multiple seeds from the same genetic cross and carefully evaluating the resulting plants to find the most exceptional expressions. Each seed carries unique traits. Phenos are rated across multiple factors: aroma, resin content, potency, yield, appearance, and morphology. Only the best, most unique phenotypes will be chosen to move forward into full-scale cultivation.<\/p>\n

Through this first-of-its-kind pheno hunt, Proper will invite consumers, budtender, and the MO cannabis community to participate in the selection process. Limited-edition \u201cPheno Flights\u201d \u2014 curated boxes featuring 2, 3, or 4 phenos from the same strain \u2014 will allow cannabis enthusiasts to explore and rate rare, unreleased cultivars. Feedback will directly influence which phenos Proper brings to market in 2026.<\/p>\n
