We start on Saturday morning with the Middleton Makers Market<\/strong><\/a>, 10am-2pm, at Middleton Park Circus. Lots of lovely handmade items including clothing, jewelery, soaps and food; all made by local people.<\/p>\n Leeds Dads<\/strong><\/a>\u2018\u00a0 free Soft Play<\/strong> sessions return on Saturday morning, 10am-12pm, at Little Angels behind the Tommy Wass pub, LS11 7HL. This for dads and pre-school children and there\u2019s free tea and toast! Book: leedsdads.org\/events<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Trinity Network<\/strong><\/a> host their Community Reflections Caf\u00e9 on Saturday 10am-12pm at the United reformed Church, Nesfield Avenue, Belle Isle, LS10 3LG<\/p>\n An Attempt to Lose Time<\/strong> comes to Slung Low\u2019s Warehouse in Holbeck on Saturday evening. After five years of fast-paced burnt-out always-on city life, Miranda thought about time all the time \u2013 so she gave it up. Musing on climate change, capitalism, human extinction and the ever-present threat that crabs might take over the world, this is the story of how Miranda left the city, took to the canals, travelled to a remote Scottish island and formed questionable relationships with moorhens in her quest to escape time. The Warehouse in Holbeck is on Crosby Street, LS11 9RQ, entrance on Rydall Place.<\/p>\n Sunday sees three very special performances of Tony Harrison\u2019s poem \u2018V\u2019<\/strong><\/a>. There will be two readings in Holbeck Cemetery, where the poem is set, at 12pm and 2:30pm plus an indoor performance at The Warehouse in Holbeck, followed by a discussion, at 5pm. Booking is essential and it\u2019s pay-what-you-decide, book your ticket at www.slunglow.org\/shows<\/strong><\/a> and pay after you\u2019ve seen the performance.<\/p>\n Singletons can head to Fearns in Leeds Dock on Sunday, when the kitchen, bar and events space will be hosting a match-making event<\/strong> in partnership with Single & Mingle.\u00a0Between 4-6.30pm,\u00a0 guests can meet like-minded people in Fearns\u2019 relaxed social space with its stylish interiors, and a promise of no awkward moments.\u00a0Book tickets here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The South Leeds Community Kitchen<\/strong><\/a> will be cooking up a free meal on Sunday, 4-5:45pm, at St Mary\u2019s Church, Town Street, Beeston (opposite Nisa). Knights Solway 5:15<\/p>\n Also on Sunday the Leeds Knights<\/strong><\/a> take on the Solway Sharks in the NIHL National Division. The ice hockey match faces off at 5:15pm at Planet Ice on Elland Road.<\/p>\n New Bewerley Community School<\/strong><\/a> in Beeston (LS11 6TB) is holding an open evening on Wednesday, with a welcome from the headteacher at 4pm and 5pm.<\/p>\n The SEN-Tastic<\/strong> group meets on Thursday. It\u2019s open to anyone who cares for children with special needs, parents, siblings, carers, childminders and grandparents and offers coffee, friendship, advice and support. The group runs from 9:15-10:30am at St Luke\u2019s Church<\/strong><\/a>, Malvern Road, Beeston, LS11 8PD.<\/p>\n Leeds Baby Bank<\/strong><\/a> will be at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library on Thursday 10am-12pm offering support to people to access support services, community activity and longer-term support. They also gift families an essential top-up of items like nappies, wipes, formula and toiletries.<\/p>\n There will be a Police Contact Point<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Hamara Centre<\/strong> on Tempest Road on Thursday 10am-12pm. This is a chance to raise concerns or ask questions of the Leeds South Neighbourhood Policing Team<\/strong><\/a> in an informal setting.<\/p>\n Opera North<\/strong> are holding another of their monthly series of free concerts<\/strong> at the Penny Hill Shopping Centre in Hunslet, near the Church Street entrance. From 12:30pm on Thursday.<\/p>\n The St Luke\u2019s Tenants & Residents Association<\/strong><\/a> will be holding their bi-monthly meeting on Thursday at St Luke\u2019s Church<\/strong><\/a>, Malvern Road, LS11 8PD, starting at 6:30pm.
