{"id":490521,"date":"2025-10-11T08:22:16","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T08:22:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/490521\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T08:22:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T08:22:16","slug":"cox-plate-2025-will-the-caulfield-guineas-winner-also-win-the-cox-plate-rsn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/490521\/","title":{"rendered":"Cox Plate 2025: Will The Caulfield Guineas Winner Also Win The Cox Plate? | Rsn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"v2_larger-content\">  Autumn Glow is currently $11 to win the Cox Plate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Autumn Boy<\/strong> has won his first race of his spring season, winning the $3 million Caulfield Guineas (1600m).<\/p>\n<p>The colt hit the lead at the 150m mark and left his competition behind, sprinting home in style.<\/p>\n<p>This was the <strong>Chris Waller<\/strong> trained bay\u2019s first ever Group 1 victory, and he is now three wins from five starts.<\/p>\n<p>Cam Luke believes the son of The Autumn Sun will be heading to the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) off the back of that Caulfield Guineas victory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sen.com.au\/tips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/SSxTrack_Article_banner2.jpg\" alt=\"SSxTrack Article banner2\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAutumn Boy wins the Caulfield Guineas and we\u2019ve seen horses go from the Caulfield Guineas to a Cox Plate and run well,\u201d Luke told SENTrack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was under the impression prior to the race that if he were to win then he\u2019d end up in a Cox Plate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI probably still think that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeeping in mind his trainer (Chris Waller) already has a couple of really big chances in the Cox Plate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut do I think he will go there? I reckon it\u2019s a pretty good chance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Despite Luke believing that Autumn Boy will run in the Cox Plate, the SENTrack fan favourite wouldn\u2019t be backing the colt in that Group 1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s a horse that I would want to back to win in the Cox Plate,\u201d Luke said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like him and I wish I owned him, but would he beat a Sir Delius or a Via Sistina right now?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI doubt it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be backing him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlbeit we\u2019ve seen three-year-olds run well in the Caulfield Guineas and win a Cox Plate before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Autumn Glow is currently $11 (on Sportsbet) to win the Cox Plate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/jm2mdQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/eDM_SIGN_UP.png\" alt=\"eDM SIGN UP\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are you prepared to lose today?
