Two men are facing jail after a shooting on a busy high street where a man was seriously injured.<\/p>\n
Driver Adyan Hussain, aged 22, had fired shots at the Golf after being dropped off 30 minutes before on Leopard Lane, West Bromwich, in a different car by a man called Naveed Hussain.<\/p>\n
Adyan Hussain and Naveed Hussain now face a lengthy time behind bars after the drive-by shooting on West Bromwich High Street on May 1 2025.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t like our community, you can check out any time you like by selecting ‘exit group’.<\/p>\n CLICK HERE TO JOIN<\/a><\/p>\n The male victim, who has not been named, was forced to speed off to hospital with shotgun injuries to his shoulder and the back of his head.<\/p>\n The shooting earlier this year unfolded on the A4301 Trinity Way<\/a> at at around 11.35am in what West Midlands Police<\/a> described as “a violent attack on a busy High Street.”<\/p>\n At Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday October 6 Adyan Hussain, of Salisbury Road, West Bromwich, admitted possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, while Naveed Hussain, also 22, of Ida Road, West Bromwich, admitted assisting an offender.<\/p>\n They will be sentenced later this month.<\/p>\n Detectives said they have never been able to establish a motive for the attack.<\/p>\n A West Midlands Police spokesperson said on October 11: “Two shots were fired by the driver of a black Vauxhall Mokka, at the junction of West Bromwich High Street and Trinity Way, towards a white VW Golf which was waiting to turn right.<\/p>\n “The first shot missed, but the second shattered the rear windscreen of the Golf.<\/p>\n “The victim, in his 20s, sped away from the scene and arrived at the Midland Met Hospital a short time later.<\/p>\n “He was left with shotgun injuries to his shoulder and the back of his head but survived the attack.<\/p>\n “Our Major Crime Unit (MCU) officers trawled through hours of CCTV to identify the suspects, and the cars involved as they travelled in the build-up to and the aftermath of the shooting.<\/p>\n “We established that Adyan Hussain, aged 22, had been driving the Mokka and had fired the shots at the Golf.<\/p>\n “Around 30 minutes before the attack, he had been dropped off on Leopard Lane, West Bromwich, in a different car by a man called Naveed Hussain.<\/p>\n “Adyan Hussain drove off in the Mokka and changed its number plates just before the attack, which happened at around 11.30am on 1 May this year.<\/p>\n “After the attack, Adyan Hussain abandoned the car in Oldbury.
