{"id":491770,"date":"2025-10-11T19:44:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T19:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/491770\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T19:44:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T19:44:12","slug":"edinburgh-restaurant-named-one-of-best-in-the-world-by-tripadvisor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/491770\/","title":{"rendered":"Edinburgh restaurant named one of best in the world by TripAdvisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The TripAdvisor Travellers\u2019 Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the \u201chighest level of excellence\u201d and is awarded to those who receive a high volume of \u201cabove-and-beyond reviews\u201d on the popular travel site.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Witchery, located in the heart of the Scottish capital near Edinburgh Castle, was the only location in the UK to make the top ten in the awards category of places that are \u201cworth getting on the wait list for\u201d.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The gothic style eatery and hotel was ranked third globally and was only topped by Izakaya High Japanese Cuisine in Majorca, which came second and Fogo\u0301n Asado in Buenos Aires which came first.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ MORE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenational.scot\/news\/25535891.thousands-palestinians-return-devastation-gaza-city\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thousands of Palestinians return to devastation in Gaza City<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Edinburgh restaurant\u2019s menu offers some of the best of Scotland\u2018s locally sourced produce, including seafood from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastlothiancourier.com\/?ref=au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">East Lothian<\/a> and the West Coast, game from the Highlands and Scottish beef.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Best of the Best award is determined by customer reviews over a 12-month period.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  With more than 8 million listings, TripAdvisor said fewer than 1% of businesses achieve the \u201cBest of the Best\u201d milestone.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Witchery has averaged a 4.2 star rating on the travel website while racking up more than 11,700 reviews.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  One delighted customer said: \u201cAmazing place. Very atmospheric. Delicious food and great service. A short wait for our pre-booked table but it was worth it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: Emma Bartholomew)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A second left a five star review saying: \u201cWent to The Witchery for our anniversary, and safe to say it\u2019s one of the best experiences we\u2019ve had.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe food, service, ambiance, everything were all top notch. HIGHLY recommend.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Meanwhile, a third said \u201cWe had the most amazing romantic lunch 2 course at the Witchery.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cIt was magical with the atmosphere top notch. Make a reservation here well in advance its a wonderful experience.
