{"id":49178,"date":"2025-04-25T10:52:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T10:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/49178\/"},"modified":"2025-04-25T10:52:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T10:52:08","slug":"wright-backs-rashford-to-complete-shock-move-to-pl-club-with-no-chance-of-old-trafford-return","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/49178\/","title":{"rendered":"Wright backs Rashford to complete shock move to PL club with &#8216;no chance&#8217; of Old Trafford return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arsenal legend Ian Wright reckons Marcus Rashford would be \u201cdangerous\u201d at Newcastle with \u201cno chance\u201d he returns to Man Utd in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Devils allowed Rashford to leave Old Trafford at the end of the January transfer window after the England international had been frozen out by Ruben Amorim.<\/p>\n<p>Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of this season with the Villans reportedly having a \u00a340m option to make the deal permanent in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>And Rashford \u2013 who hasn\u2019t played for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/manchester-united\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Man Utd<\/strong><\/a> since their Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen in mid-December \u2013 has been in brilliant form for Aston Villa with four goals and four assists in 17 matches in all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Any club wishing to buy Rashford in the summer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/man-utd-rashford-very-well-end-return-huge-issue-amorim-aston-villa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>could struggle to afford his huge wage demands<\/strong><\/a> but Wright reckons Newcastle would be a good next destination for the Man Utd loanee.<\/p>\n<p>When a move to St James\u2019 Park for Rashford was suggested to him, <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theringer.com\/podcasts\/wrightys-house\/2025\/04\/24\/points-shared-by-arsenal-and-palace-villas-striking-options-and-more\" target=\"_blank\">Wright said on his Ringer FC podcast<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s the kind of signing Newcastle should be making.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat would be amazing. That would be dangerous. Rashford at Newcastle? Yeah. That would be really good. I really like that for Rashford. Rashford at Newcastle can be dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if Rashford could end up returning to Man Utd in the summer, Wright said: \u201cNope. Unai Emery will know more having seen him up close. He has started him in key games but has he really done enough?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAston Villa know this is a huge transfer for Manchester United. If they pay the \u00a340m fee it gives United greater headroom with Profit and Sustainability to buy in the summer, so why should Villa do United any favours?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey know how desperate United are so they\u2019ll likely bid low. Villa won\u2019t want to match his wages as they\u2019ll have everyone else knocking on the manager\u2019s door asking for over \u00a3300,000 a week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey know United need to sell him and they\u2019ll also have to weigh him in to go. But you are still wondering what has changed?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a Manchester boy who had to leave his boyhood club. They gave him a big, big contract and he let them down big time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is different in his life? Are the same people supposedly responsible for looking out for him, still around?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if he signs, how long is it before he reverts to the same moody individual who struggled to turn up for Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan you trust him is the biggest question.
