\n“His cardiac age \u2014 a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG \u2014 was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age,” the memo read.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Mr Trump’s health has been a focus of attention, a year after former president Joe Biden dropped his 2024 re-election bid amid questions about his fitness for the job.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the presidential campaign last year, Mr Trump drew a contrast with Mr Biden, portraying himself as younger and fitter.<\/p>\n
He arrived at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center \u2014 a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland that has long served presidents \u2014 on Friday for what the White House called a routine yearly check-up, as well as a meeting and remarks with troops.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The visit came just six months after he had an extensive physical examination.<\/p>\n
A memo released by the White House following the April exam said Mr Trump was 6 feet, 3 inches (190 centimetres) tall and 224 pounds (102 kilograms) and had well-controlled high cholesterol.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It praised both Mr Trump’s robustness and his golf game.<\/p>\n
