The Dragons suffered a hammering in Scotland as they were kept off the scoreboard in a 49-0 defeat at Scotstoun.<\/p>\n
A week after ending their 18-match losing run in the United Rugby Championship with a draw against the Sharks at Rodney Parade, Filo Tiatia’s much-changed side crashed back down to earth up in Scotland as they failed to trouble the scorers on a miserable evening.<\/p>\n
Tiatia had made 12 changes for the trip ahead of back-to-back Welsh derbies to end the first block, with anything likely to have been seen as a bonus from this fixture.<\/p>\n
However, despite that, the sheer one-sided nature of the match is undoubtedly disappointing as a second Welsh side was nilled this weekend following the Scarlets<\/a>‘ defeat to the Stormers on Friday night.<\/p>\n Kyle Steyn opened the scoring for the home side after 10 minutes, before George Horne extended Glasgow’s lead on 25 minutes.<\/p>\n Just after half-time, Gregor Brown moved the home side further ahead before Gregor Hiddleston wrapped up the bonus point.<\/p>\n The rout continued as Horne crossed for his second just after the hour-mark.<\/p>\n Jonny Matthews took Glasgow past the 40-point mark on 67 minutes.<\/p>\n And then, to really rub salt in the wounds, the home side were awarded a penalty try after Wales wing Rio Dyer was deemed to have stopped a try-scoring chance at the death.<\/p>\n Dyer was sent to the sin-bin, although that was a trivial detail on a painful evening.<\/p>\n * Follow all of our channels to ensure you stay up to date with the latest Welsh rugby news.
