A mysterious floodtide of sex toys is puzzling locals on a scenic island. The dildos arrived in the wake <\/a>of Storm Amy on the sands of Millport in Scotland, bringing a rare buzz in the tourist destination’s sleepy off-season.<\/p>\n Two dog walkers spotted the sex toys on Newton beach and scrambled to carry off the saucy devices before kids might find them, reports the Sun<\/a>. Where the dildos<\/a> came from isn’t clear. But locals suspect they might have fallen off a ship in the nearby Firth of Clyde.<\/p>\n The sex toys started washing up on Friday (October 10) when Storm Amy was battering Scotland<\/a>. But the contraptions kept on coming over the weekend.<\/p>\n Locals told the media that the ‘sex on the beach’ mystery has left the village buzzing with excitement.<\/p>\n Barmaid Lesley McDowell, 59 , who works at the Newton Bar, said: \u201cIt was a load of sex toys that washed up \u2013 the village has been buzzing ever since. \u201cBut seriously, luckily it happened when it was quiet and kids didn\u2019t find them.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t know where they got dumped, but there\u2019s none in the bar.\u201d Lesley said: \u201cApparently a guy was coming up from the beach with an armful of dildos.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not the run of the mill kind of day in Millport.\u201d<\/p>\n The strange arrival has sparked comparisons with the film Whisky Galore! \u201cMaybe they should make a film here and call it Toys Galore,\u201d a local said.<\/p>\n The classic movie, based on a true story, is about cases of whisky washing up on a Scottish island. Dog<\/a> walker Issy Wright, 67, joked: \u201cThis isn\u2019t the kind of thing that happens here. Usually we keep that kind of stuff private.<\/p>\n \u201cNot that I know much about these things, but it was dildos that were washed up. I\u2019m not sure what happened to them \u2013 though I did hear about 100 people descended onto the beach with big bags.\u201d<\/p>\n Scotland has already had its fair share of shocking beach finds this year.
