A woman has died following a hit-and-run collision in Wolverhampton.<\/p>\n

The woman, who was in her 20s, was struck by a car on Birmingham Road near Johnson Street, close to Wolverhampton city centre shortly after 10pm on Saturday night, October 11.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> are now hunting a blue Audi driver following the incident and have released <\/a>car registration details as part its of urgent hit-and-run probe. <\/p>\n

The force confirmed the make, model, and registration number of a car they are urgently seeking, which “may have some damage to the windscreen.”<\/p>\n

Officers say the investigation is “moving quickly” but they need the public’s help to track down the vehicle as part of their enquiries.<\/p>\n

The victim has not been named, but identified as a woman in her 20s.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police issued a full statement on Sunday morning confirming the location of the tragedy and information they are seeking.<\/p>\n

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are urgently appealing for information after a woman died in a non-stop collision in Wolverhampton.<\/p>\n

“The woman in her 20s was hit by a blue Audi Q2 on Birmingham<\/a> Road, near Johnson Street, shortly after 10pm last night (11 October).<\/p>\n

“Tragically, she was confirmed dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

“Our investigation is moving quickly, and we are urgently trying to find the car involved, which may have some damage to the windscreen.<\/p>\n

“The car’s registration is WH21 GHO.<\/p>\n
