The hope is that we’ll get the street-level adventure promised at the end of No Way Home, but with the Multiverse in play, that’s far from guaranteed.

The movie will be released between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, making it highly likely that Peter Parker’s MCU return will end up being tied to whatever Doctor Doom is plotting.

Whatever happens, it’s inevitable that Spidey will end up sharing the screen with a character from the wider MCU. That’s thought to be part of Sony Pictures’ deal with Marvel Studios (Iron Man, Nick Fury, and Doctor Strange were all part of Jon Watts’ trilogy), and in this feature, we’ve singled out some of the most exciting and likely possibilities.

To check them out, you just need to click on the “Next”https://comicbookmovie.com/”View List” buttons below.

5. Loki

If we’re heading down the Multiversal route, then why not go all in with an appearance from Loki? If Doctor Doom’s machinations “free” him from his place at the centre of the Multiverse, the God of Mischief seeking out Spider-Man could make sense.

These two have reluctantly worked together in the comics – during JMS’ Amazing Spider-Man run – and if Peter Parker is an Anchor being, then Loki seeking him out for a journey into the unknown could be a lot of fun.

Heck, we could see Loki reunite Spidey with his fellow Spider-Men and even take him to other alternate realities, like the one where Peter’s daughter, Mayday, is Spider-Girl. This would also open the door to that Venom crossover we’ve heard so much about.

4. Wolverine

This is one of those dream team-ups fans never expected would be possible on-screen. Hugh Jackman returned as Logan in last summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine, donning the character’s comic-accurate costume and stealing the show.

He’s expected to appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, so why not take the opportunity to pair him up with the web-slinger in Spider-Man: Brand New Day? (which would be simple if the movie takes place in a Battleworld New York)

These two have a ton of history on the page, and Marvel Studios would be nuts not to take advantage of making this a reality. Not only is the possibility of them standing side-by-side a huge box office draw, but it’s the best possible use of the Multiverse and has the potential to be iconic.

3. Thor

Thor: Love and Thunder was a complete sh*tshow. After the success of Thor: Ragnarok, filmmaker Taika Waititi was given far too much creative control with this follow-up, turning the God of Thunder into a complete goof and even dropping the ball on The Mighty Thor.

The character is in desperate need of redemption, something even Chris Hemsworth has acknowledged in interviews. Avengers: Doomsday can start that, with Spider-Man: Brave New World exploring what would surely be a unique and fun dynamic between Thor and Spidey.

The Thor Corps may come into play, but what if Peter were to seek out this Avenger’s help for taking on a threat like Venom or Knull? Honestly, we just want to see the web-slinger riding Mjolnir through the sky again, just like he did in Avengers: Endgame.

2. Doctor Doom

When Spider-Man entered the MCU, Marvel Studios wasted no time pairing him up with its most popular superhero, Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr.’s Spider-Man: Homecoming screentime was fairly limited, but trailers made it look like the two characters would receive equal billing!

If Doctor Doom emerges from Avengers: Doomsday as the Multiverse’s “saviour,” we see no reason why he couldn’t task Spider-Man with a mission somewhere on Battleworld (Peter trusting Victor because of his similarity to Tony has real storytelling potential).

Throwing the Fantastic Four into the mix wouldn’t be a bad thing, particularly if it leads to Spidey and the Human Torch heading into action together. Either way, we’d be shocked if Doom doesn’t appear if Spider-Man: Brand New Day is ultimately revealed as a Multiverse story.

1. Daredevil

This is what we all want, right? Thanks to 2023’s Hollywood strikes and Daredevil: Born Again’s creative overhaul, we no longer think it’s possible for a full-blown team-up that sees Spider-Man and the Man Without Fear heading into battle together to fight The Kingpin.

In fact, with season 2 set to be released next March, Matt Murdock’s war with Mayor Wilson Fisk – and New York being under martial law – may have been and gone by the time Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters.

That’s no reason not to make this happen, though. Spider-Man and Daredevil crossing paths, even if it’s just for a quick fight with some crooks and a chat on a rooftop, is a must. Just look at how great Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’s Daredevil cameo was.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day looks set to be a fresh start for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the…

[3935
77,3943,26697,16,15
0":"post-49361","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-movies","8":"tag-entertainment","9":"tag-movies","10":"tag-spider-man-brand-new-day","11":"tag-uk","12":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
