An award-winning whisky tour company known for its focus on storytelling is now launching in Inverness, with a promise to highlight the Highland Capital\u2019s growing whisky scene.<\/a><\/p>\n Once Upon a Whisky, which has run popular walking tours in Glasgow and Edinburgh since 2017, is expanding north to connect visitors with the city\u2019s thriving bar culture and proximity to world-class distilleries.<\/p>\n Founder Camilo Gomez established the company to offer a modern, more accessible alternative to classical whisky tours.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Inverness whisky scene is both exciting and impressive,\u201d Mr Gomez commented.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is not only a top tourist destination, but also strategically close to many fantastic distilleries. We are incredibly happy and honoured to give visitors the chance to explore the city and its hidden whisky treasures with locals.\u201d<\/p>\n The tours will be based in Inverness city centre and will collaborate with established local venues \u2014 including MacGregor\u2019s, The Malt Room and The Wee Bar \u2014 focusing on off-the-beaten-track experiences that mix whisky education with local culture.<\/p>\n The expansion comes as the city experiences a booming whisky renaissance.
