Saturday is set to be the warmest day of the week, with temperatures reaching 20C in Greater Manchester and 21C in parts of the south of England.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">But after that, temperatures are meant to drop again as more unsettled weather is due towards <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/easter\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Easter<\/a> weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A Met Office spokesperson said: \u201cThe fine weather is set to last for the rest of this week, with warm days and chilly nights. There\u2019ll be rural frosts overnight, and potential maximum daily temperatures of 19-20\u00b0C.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It comes after Friday saw 23.7C recorded in Otterbourne, Hampshire, the hottest day of the year so far, while England also saw its sunniest March on record.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Craig Snell, meteorologist at the Met Office, said: \u201cThe sunshine is getting stronger every day. I still think, for many people, if you\u2019re not exposed to that wind, it will still be pleasantly warm during the days as we go through next week.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0_200325sunnyweather1.jpg\" alt=\"Sunny weather pictures . Manchester\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Greater Manchester is expected to reach 20C later this week(Image: Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThere\u2019s hints maybe it turns again a little bit warmer towards the end of next week. It\u2019s probably a little bit too early to say exactly how warm, but I\u2019d say probably at least above average for most.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cNight time [will be] still quite chilly, still be prone to some frost from time to time, but certainly by this time next week [there is] very little change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cI think most of us [are] still seeing plenty of fine weather to come, and that will possibly continue into the kind of early part of the following week, but then potentially starting to break down there afterwards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Temperatures will \u201cfluctuate\u201d day-to-day during the week, with eastern areas likely to see some cloud at times, but are not likely to fall any lower than the mid-teens, Mr Snell said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Saturday could see highs of 21C in parts of south-east England, while the weather will turn slightly milder on Sunday with a maximum of 17C in the South West.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The meteorologist said having a prolonged spell of dry weather at this time of year was \u201cnot uncommon\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He said: \u201cDuring the first lockdown of 2020, we entered quite a dry, sunny spell through most of late March, early April, and I think that continued into May as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cSo it doesn\u2019t happen every year, but it\u2019s certainly something we\u2019ve we\u2019ve had not in the far past.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The risk of wildfires is now reducing in many areas away from south east and central England, after it had been rated as \u201csevere\u201d across much of the UK this week, the Met Office said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Major blazes erupted during dry weather in Scotland and Dorset last week, with the fires spanning an area of around 1.5 miles and 50 hectares respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it responded to a \u201csignificantly large fire\u201d on Gentleshaw Common in Burntwood on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">On top of that, two children have also suffered water-related deaths during the ongoing dry spell.
