{"id":495011,"date":"2025-10-13T02:19:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T02:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/495011\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T02:19:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T02:19:12","slug":"three-fans-injured-as-bike-flies-over-fence-and-into-fans-in-horror-crash-at-speedway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/495011\/","title":{"rendered":"Three fans injured as bike flies over fence and into fans in horror crash at speedway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The BSN Series semi-final between Redcar Bears and Glasgow Tigers on Sunday was abandoned after a horror crash.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Multiple fans were injured after a bike flew over a fence and into the crowd at the speedway event in Middlesbrough.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Jake Allen's bike flew into the crowd following a crash during Redcar vs Glasgow\" height=\"640\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"Getty\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/jake-allen-redcar-bears-blue-1030728424.jpg\" data-caption=\"Jake Allen's bike flew into the crowd following a crash during Redcar vs Glasgow\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/jake-allen-redcar-bears-blue-1030728424.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3<\/p>\n<p>Jake Allen&#8217;s bike flew into the crowd following a crash during Redcar vs GlasgowCredit: Getty<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred during Heat 14, with Redcar&#8217;s Jake Allen crashing at the ECCO Arena.<\/p>\n<p>His bike was then catapulted over the safety barrier on the fourth bend of the track.<\/p>\n<p>According to local reports, three fans were hit by the bike and were left requiring medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>Those fans are said to have been able to walk into an ambulance following the crash.<\/p>\n<p>With the safety fence impacted unable to be repaired immediately, the event was abandoned.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement shared to X, Glasgow confirmed the decision as well as adding: &#8220;Our thoughts are now only with those injured in the incident.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Redcar had been leading 43-41 on the night, with the tie level at 87-87 on aggregate.<\/p>\n<p>The Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) will now determine the outcome of the result following the abandonment on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the decision, Glasgow boss Cami Brown explained: &#8220;Right now our thoughts are only with the fans involved in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a horrible moment and we just hope everyone is okay.
