{"id":4957,"date":"2025-04-08T10:40:16","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T10:40:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/4957\/"},"modified":"2025-04-08T10:40:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T10:40:16","slug":"tesla-shares-plummet-as-wall-street-bull-slashes-stock-price-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/4957\/","title":{"rendered":"Tesla shares plummet as Wall Street bull slashes stock price target"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tesla\u2019s share price has plummeted again as one of it\u2019s most bullish Wall Street analysts has slashed his price target for the company\u2019s stock.<\/p>\n<p>Since placing himself front and centre of Donald Trump\u2019s presidential campaign and subsequent president, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelondoneconomic.com\/news\/how-elon-musk-suffered-the-most-embarrassing-24-hours-of-his-life-391711\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elon Musk<\/a> has witnessed the share price in his electric vehicle company drop through the floor. <\/p>\n<p>This has largely been through his own actions, such as performing a questionable salute on Inauguration Day and sparking Tesla boycotts across America and Europe. <\/p>\n<p>This anti-Musk protest from consumers, combined with Trump\u2019s tariff announcements <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelondoneconomic.com\/politics\/donald-trump-is-having-his-liz-truss-moment-as-market-bloodbath-continues-391758\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">decimating the global stock market<\/a>, have led Tesla\u2019s share price to slump once again.<\/p>\n<p>In the two days after Trump\u2019s tariffs were confirmed, Tesla shares plunged 15%. Now, one of the company\u2019s most bullish Wall Street investors has slashed his price target for the stock by 43%, specifically calling out Musk and Trump for the company\u2019s poor performance. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Morgan Stanley says investors should be prepared for the S&amp;P 500 to drop a further 7% to 8%<\/p>\n<p>Tesla down another 10% in early trading today. Its shares have fallen 50% from a record high in mid-December<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Alex Wickham (@alexwickham) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/alexwickham\/status\/1909173506249474347?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">April 7, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tesla shares have fallen below the price that U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick previously claimed was \u201cimpossible\u201d to go below \u2014 Bloomberg reports. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rdG2WspIzS\">pic.twitter.com\/rdG2WspIzS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NEXTA (@nexta_tv) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nexta_tv\/status\/1909180278397903264?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">April 7, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Daniel Ives, a Wedbush Securities analyst who\u2019s rated the Tesla\u2019s shares a buy for the last four years, has cut his his Tesla share-price target to $315 from $550. <\/p>\n<p>In a report to clients on Sunday, Ives said the company had \u201cessentially become a political symbol globally,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/tesla-bull-slashes-stock-price-184418063.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tesla shares are down to $239 today. At their peak late last year Tesla shares were $479.
