The <strong>Soho Kids Christmas Lights <\/strong>will once again light up the skies above Soho\u2019s streets with the city\u2019s most unique light designs. And there are even more designs to seek out this year, as the display enters its fifth year of charming Soho\u2019s visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The lights are part of an<strong> ongoing collaboration between the Soho Parish Primary School and Architecture for Kids CIC<\/strong>. Each year, several designs from the schoolchildren are turned into glittering displays to welcome in the cold weather and the <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/covent-garden-christmas-lights-2025\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/covent-garden-christmas-lights-2025\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\">arrival of Christmas<\/a>. And this year, they\u2019ll be <strong>turning them on for the season on November 19<\/strong>, bringing cute Christmas cheer to the capital.<\/p>\n<p> The Soho Kids Christmas Lights <\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/sightseeing-london-map-walking-route\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/sightseeing-london-map-walking-route\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_2\" data-category=\"click_internal\">strolled around<\/a> Soho in the past few years around Christmas time, you\u2019ll have likely already spotted the charming designs. They range from <strong>shooting stars to mince pies, a reindeer, a snowman, and even a festive crab<\/strong>. Sure, they\u2019re not your traditional Christmassy sights, but we simply love them! Altogether, this means you\u2019ll find <strong>a whopping 61 light displays designed by Soho schoolchildren<\/strong> lighting up the area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Over 100 designs are submitted annually<\/strong>, with 6 selected by a jury of local community members. Those are pretty stiff odds, but we\u2019re sure the winning budding artists are positively beaming with pride. This year\u2019s new designs are themed around \u201c<strong>Lighting, Identity of Place, and this year\u2019s special focus \u2013 Women in Soho<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>The resulting display is \u201ca radiant <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/best-art-galleries-london\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/best-art-galleries-london\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_3\" data-category=\"click_internal\">gallery<\/a> of light that celebrates the voices, creativity, and vision of Soho\u2019s youngest residents.\u201d The 61 special Christmas designs make up a sort of treasure hunt around the area.<strong> Next time you\u2019re in Soho, see how many of the lights you can find!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Turning on the lights <\/p>\n<p>There will be a special Soho Kids Christmas Lights Switch-On event on November 19, at 6pm.
