Liverpool has been named as one of the friendliest cities in the UK in a vote by Brits who love to travel.<\/p>\n
The city was ranked in the top 10 in the Conde Nast Traveller 2025\u00a0Readers\u2019 Choice Awards<\/a>, with a special mention going to our \u201cnotoriously good nights out.\u201d<\/p>\n The magazine asked readers to share their experiences of the UK cities which go above and beyond to create the friendliest stay and make visitors feel most welcome.<\/p>\n And, unsurprisingly, when scores for satisfaction were counted Liverpool came out as one of their picks for an ideal staycation.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time we\u2019ve been rated in the annual top 10 Friendliest Cities in the UK list and this year we claimed eighth place.<\/p>\n Announcing the results, CN Traveller said:<\/p>\n \u201cSo it\u2019s no secret that Scousers are some of the most endearing people around. They\u2019re wildly outgoing, thoughtfully inclusive, and always on the lookout for more to join their notoriously good nights out, so take a trip to a packed\u00a0Liverpool bar<\/a>\u00a0and plunge into cheery conversation within seconds.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAfter all, there are plenty of icebreaker topics to choose from. Learn about centuries of fascinating maritime history, pick a side in the major football club rivalry, or reminisce on Beatlemania as you get to know the lovely communities here.\u201d<\/p>\n The poll covered the whole length of Britain, with Aberdeen on the east coast of Scotland coming in at 10th and Brighton on the south coast sharing eighth with Liverpool.<\/p>\n London featured in 7th, beaten by Belfast, Cambridge, Bath, and Edinburgh. The overall runner-up was Manchester, with Rusholme\u2019s famous Curry Mile highlighted as a great place to go.<\/p>\n The list was topped by Glasgow, which scored a whopping 97 out of 100, coming in well ahead of all the other contenders to take the number one spot for a second year.<\/p>\n The Scottish city was singled out for outstanding hospitality, generous people and \u201cirresistible Glaswegian charm.\u201d<\/p>\n CN Traveller added:<\/p>\n \u201cAside from being sociable, Glaswegians also have a reputation for knowing how to party.
