Duchess Sophie marked a big win amid the ongoing feud among the members of the royal family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Edinburgh has been assigned key royal engagements by King Charles, especially after his cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

The mother of two received praise from a royal expert for her dedication and sincerity towards the institution.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sean Smith told GB, “The media has been and continues to be obsessed with the family drama involving Harry, Meghan, William, Kate and Charles. It\u2019s a soap opera.”<\/p>\n

He added, “(Meanwhile) Sophie (has been) comforting women and children refugees.”<\/p>\n

Sophie, who is quite vocal about women’s rights, most recently\u00a0in the Democratic Republic of Congo at the request of\u00a0the Foreign and Development Office.<\/p>\n

According to Buckingham Palace, the royal witnessed the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict, particularly on women and girls.<\/p>\n

She met women peacebuilders who are working on the ground to highlight their work supporting local peace initiatives.<\/p>\n

As per the royal family’s official social media channels, Duchess Sophie has been a “global champion for the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda and a supporter of the UK\u2019s Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI) for a number of years.”<\/p>\n
