Last week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received the Humanitarians of the Year<\/a> honor for their contribution to making the online world a safe place for children.\u00a0And it seems they are not the only royal couple to raise awareness of the dangers of the digital world. Even Prince William and Kate Middleton have expressed concern about the same.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In fact, the Princess of Wales also recently delivered a powerful message about the connection between mental health and social media. She gave the speech just hours before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received their award at the Project Healthy Minds Gala in New York City.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This led former\u00a0BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond to believe that the royal couples had finally found common ground. She told Mirror<\/a>, \u201cI don\u2019t think this is a rivalry between Harry and Meghan and William and Catherine. The two princes and Catherine were involved in mental health issues before Meghan came along. It is something they care deeply about.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ex-BBC royal correspondent further added that \u201cboth couples\u201d are promoting \u201can important message, and one that affects us all.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

While many were confused about the Sussexes\u2019 joint appearance at the event, Bond thinks it\u2019s fair. Moreover, looking at their past appearances, she even feels that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have \u201cmoved on from their royal roles.\u201d She added, \u201cThey are now full-blown celebrities. And this award was for both of them, so it was natural that they make a joint appearance.\u201d<\/p>\n
