A major emergency response was underway outside the Manchester Arndale car park in Shudehill this afternoon.<\/p>\n

A forensic tent was erected<\/a> near the car park entrance and a cordon was put in place around the area on Monday (October 13).<\/p>\n

Police and paramedics attended the scene outside the shopping centre car park, and an air ambulance reportedly landed nearby earlier in the response.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> (GMP) confirmed they were called following reports of a concern for welfare.<\/p>\n

A man was taken to hospital and is being treated for “potentially life-threatening injuries,” GMP added.<\/p>\n

Officers say enquiries are ongoing, and no further details have been released at this stage.<\/p>\n
