Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> hasn\u2019t exactly held back in accusing the royal family of treating her poorly. So it may come as a bit of a surprise that the Duchess is reportedly encouraging Prince Harry\u2019s<\/a><\/strong>reconciliation with King Charles<\/strong><\/a>. According to an insider, Meghan is aware that she and Harry \u201cneed the royal family\u201d and is urging him to get back on good terms with his dad.<\/p>\n Meghan Markle is supporting Prince Harry\u2019s bid to reconcile with his father, King Charles Meghan is allegedly urging Harry to make up with his estranged family, especially dad Charles. A source told Page Six<\/a>: \u201cThey need the family. Meghan is aware of that.\u201d<\/p>\n The insider added: \u201cMeghan knows that Harry won\u2019t be returning to royal duties, but on a human, personal level, [she wants for him to be] able to get on good terms with his father.\u201d<\/p>\n The news comes after the couple were given the \u201cHumanitarians of the Year\u201d award on Thursday. The couple accepted the award<\/a> at a ceremony in New York, both decked out in Armani suits.<\/p>\n Harry and Charles seemingly took their first steps toward reconciliation last month when they met for afternoon tea. The reunion seemed to go pretty well \u2013 Harry was seen smiling after and told reporters the King was \u201cgreat.\u201d<\/p>\n Sources say the Prince was happy to see his dad doing well in the midst of his cancer battle. He is also said to have given Charles a photo of children Archie and Lilibet during the visit. The Duke of Sussex is reportedly making plans to bring Meghan and the kids to the UK in the near future, despite his concerns over security.<\/p>\n One person who reportedly isn\u2019t so keen for Charles and Harry to reconcile is Prince William<\/a>.
