The head of German intelligence, Martin Jaeger has warned on Monday that Russia is ready to test Europe\u2019s borders and escalate tensions.<\/p>\n
This comes as Western officials have been warning of the Kremlin\u2019s hybrid operations across Europe with sabotage attacks, drone and fighter jet incursions and the cyberattacks, which has also been blamed on Jaguar Land Rover in the UK halting production.<\/p>\n
Jaeger said on Monday, \u201cWe can\u2019t simply wait and assume that a potential Russian attack won\u2019t come before 2029.<\/p>\n

Read more related news:<\/strong><\/p>\n Honour in precision: Here\u2019s what Tomahawks really mean for Ukraine<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has also warned that Russia<\/a> is ready for an open war with the alliance within the next five years.<\/p>\n The German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Russia\u2019s<\/a> ongoing hybrid warfare against Europe proved that the European Union is no longer at peace, the Kyiv Independent reported.<\/p>\n Speaking to German parliament, Jaeger told the Bundestag, \u201cRussia<\/a> is concealing its true intentions, but in fact it\u2019s probing our borders.<\/p>\n At best, Europe is in a state<\/a> of cold peace \u2014 one that could flare into a hot confrontation at any moment.<\/p>\n The head of Germany\u2019s Federal Intelligence Service (BND) warned Vladimir Putin<\/a> will see Europe\u2019s restraint as pure weakness, he added, \u201cWe must confront our adversaries wherever necessary.<\/p>\n Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko warned on Sunday that he believes Ukraine<\/a> could \u201ccease to exist as a state\u201d unless the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky \u201csits down, negotiated, and acts urgently.\u201d<\/p>\n Lukashenko told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin he believes that \u201cthe problem is not with the United States\u2026 nor with Russia\u2026 but rather in Volodymyr Zelensky.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cActions must be taken urgently,\u201d<\/a> Lukashenko said.<\/p>\n \u201cRussia<\/a> is advancing on the front line, and I say this responsibly, because I observe this every day, and it could lead to the disappearance of Ukraine<\/a> as a state.\u201d<\/p>\n Lukashenko warned the situation for Ukraine<\/a> is \u201cvery serious\u201d and he is urging for dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow.<\/p>\n Lukashenko then hit out at the US President sending Tomahawk missiles, he said, \u201cOur friend Donald (Trump<\/a>) has a certain tactic for dealing with the most pressing issues.<\/p>\n\n
