Directed by Joseph Kosinski, F1 is set to make its OTT debut on Apple TV, a little less than two months from now, on December 12. Starring Brad Pitt, F1 is the highest-grossing original of 2025 so far. <\/p>\n<p>F1 to have its digital premiere on Apple TV<\/p>\n<p>On social media, Apple TV officially announced, &#8220;#F1TheMovie is streaming exclusively on Apple TV starting December 12.&#8221; The sports film had a record-breaking theatrical run, earning $629 million at the global box office. It spent 168 days in theatres and became Brad Pitt&#8217;s highest-grossing feature to date. It was universally praised by critics and has a 97 per cent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared, &#8220;It\u2019s been thrilling to see audiences around the world embrace F1: The Movie in theaters. Now, we\u2019re beyond excited to bring this exhilarating, cinematic ride to fans everywhere through Apple TV\u2019s unparalleled global reach. Partnering with Apple and Formula 1 has been an incredible journey, and we\u2019re proud that even more viewers, from every corner of the world, will get to experience the heart-pounding action and passion that defines F1.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Co-written by Kosinski and Ehren Kruger, the sports saga follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula phenom in the 1990s whose career was cut short by an accident. He returns after 30 years as a racer-on-hire by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), whose team is struggling and needs a boost. Sonny goes up against the hotshot rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), and the duo create a fierce rivalry. <\/p>\n<p>F1 also features Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia.
