Rangers are still on the hunt for their next manager.<\/strong><\/p>\n After talks with Steven Gerrard collapsed<\/a>, Rangers are no further forward when it comes to the search for their next manager than they were eight days ago.<\/p>\n Several names have been mooted for the job at Ibrox, including Danny Rohl<\/a>, who has been out of a job since leaving Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the year.<\/p>\n However, Joe Crann, a journalist who covers The Owls, has been left in disbelief at the noise emerging from Ibrox<\/a> surrounding his potential appointment.<\/p>\n Rohl has impressed Rangers chiefs<\/a> throughout their search for a new manager, having been linked with a move to Ibrox last summer.<\/p>\n Rangers<\/a> opted to go with Russell Martin<\/a> instead, with the compensation fee required to get Rohl out of his contract at Hillsborough a big reason behind that.<\/p>\n It was claimed that it would cost around \u00a32.5million to bring him to Glasgow, though it would cost them nothing if they were to move for him now.<\/p>\n With that said, as soon as his name emerged on the list of candidates, a large portion of Rangers fans have made their feelings clear on the German, and Crann couldn\u2019t believe what he was hearing.<\/p>\n I know things didn\u2019t end how anybody would\u2019ve wanted with Danny R\u00f6hl at #SWFC<\/a>, but I\u2019m flabbergasted at how many Rangers fans seem to think that he\u2019d be a bad appointment.<\/p>\n He achieved a miracle in his first season and steadied a rocky ship in the second.
